A Time For Tea
I've been wanting to start our 'little blog' for some time now. Admittedly, I am not a blogger. I do have an enormous appreciation for bloggers in general. There are some incredibly talented visual and written artists out there that absolutely deserve to make a fine living doing what they do.
I am just so new to operating social media and blogging for myself. It’s not that I’m not tapped into the social pipeline, I just have had 2 children in the last 5 years, and I think there are some technological dust bunnies I need to shake.
So here goes. I really just want to share some things with you about us, our love of food, and maybe a few little tips and tricks that we discover in our daily food journey. Like this amazing fresh Chamomile we picked up this Sunday from the Solana Beach Farmers Market. We just had to pair it with San Diego Honey Company Pollen Plus™ Honey. If you have not tried Rachel's honey you need to immediately. It's local, it's raw, it's amazing.
The Goods:
1 Favorite Mug (Mine says, I <3 MOM-my kids made it for me at the CeramiCafe)
Hot Water
6-7 Fresh Chamomile Buds
Honey
Lemon Slice
The Method:
Place buds in your mug. I always get a few leaves in there it's up to you if you want to remove them.
Bring water to a boil in your teapot
Pour over the buds and let rest for 5-7 minutes
Remove Buds or leave as is.
Add your honey-we let our water cool a bit before adding the Raw honey. So as not to 'cook' it and to retain it's natural enzymes and nutrients.
Garnish with a lemon or citrus slice
Sip and enjoy
This is so easy and actually gave me a really relaxing sensation after drinking and chewing up the buds. Could be the placebo affect but I'll take it. Try it out yourself, sit next to a window, and take a moment to just be.
